Your new role:

Mainline is growing fast and are currently looking to hire a PIW to work on exciting ESB Framework projects. 

 

On receipt of a project from the ESB the PIW leads its organization, scheduling and implementation. He/she is the key point of contact with the client and builds and creates strong, assertive and positive relationships. They ensure that the site meets and exceeds environmental, health and safety standards. The PIW plans, organises, leads, coordinates and controls all activities concerned with the construction of Electrical ESBN Projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

As Stations PIW you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as set out as follows:

 

Project Start-Up:

 

  • Review scoping document and partake with the PM on an site walks.

  • Review scoping document and prepare schedule with associated crew make up and availability.

  • Review with technical support nominated person all issued documentation and highlight any potential missing information.

  • Liaise with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues.

  • Assist with the development of project safety and quality plans.

  • Prepare and issue to mainline management and ESBN  mobilisation plan.

  • Place orders for all contractor supplied equipment, plant and material.

  • Issue drawdown schedule for all ESBN supplied equipment, plant and material.

  • Agree site set up requirements and laydown area with ESBN and PICW’s.

  • Arrange timely delivery of site setup and all associated equipment.

  • Oversee the site set up and delivery of all equipment required for the project.

 

Project Construction Phase:

 

  • Continuous auditing and reporting of EHS procedures.

  • Continuous auditing and reporting of QAQC procedures. 

  • Deliver site specific EHS & QAQC TBT when required.

  • Manage your site team in the effective day to day running of site activities.

  • Ensure compliance with programme, materials deliveries and engineering.

  • Attend meetings with Clients.

  • Prepare and manage work flow to ensure continuous work for crews, highlighting to Mainline management any potential short falls.

  • Ensure effective cost and sales control in conjunction with Q.S.

  • Advise the client in good time of any potential project risks.

  • Ensure productivity at work is measured on a weekly basis and also maintain project progress control.

  • Escalate any project issues to PM.

  • Oversee the demobilization of crews and plant at the end of each project.

  • Work with the Technical support team to highlight in a timely manner any potential gaps.

  • Handover O&M manual and record drawings.

  • Prepare final account with the QS, submit and agree with client in line with company objective.

 

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:

 

  • An electrical qualification.

  • 5 years’ plus experience.

  • Knowledge of MV/HV electrical work would be beneficial.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good time management skills and ability to multitask.

  • Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including document management.

  • Safe Pass card.

  • Driver’s license
